Thai Odyssey, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Thai Odyssey has a few branches in Kuala Lumpur. They have authentic Thai therapists who do Thai traditional massages, reflexology and traditional oil massage.
I have been to two branches. The one at One Utama and the one at Bangsar Village. The Bangsar Village Branch is very nicely decorated whereas the one at One Utama is a little crammed. But the quality of massage is pretty the same.
In terms of front staff service, the one at Bangsar kept to the policy of a spa should be a place of relaxation and voice level should be at a minimal.
At One Utama, though there is a signage pasted on the wall advising clients to keep voice level at a minimal, its the voices of those at the reception that you hear when you are being massaged. This is something I thing they should take note of.
The therapists however are good and do their best to eradicate the knots in the muscles.

Spa ESPRIT, Holland Village, Singapore

This spa is Beautiful. I love the deco.

Went there when I was pregnant with my second child. My legs were aching and I needed someone to soothe it.

The moment I walked in the spa I was attended to and was ushered in the waiting area. It had beautiful lights and array of their in house products.

Within a few minutes my therapist ushered me into my treatment room. It was tastefully decorated and feel very relaxing.

My therapist was Indonesian from Batam who used to work with Banyan Tree.

She was very attentive. As it was a pre-natal massage she was gentle with me. I was about seven months pregnant then.

I paid $120 then for a 1hr massage.

If you want to pamper yourself in beautiful but unthreatening spa.... This is it!

House of Traditional Javanese Massage, Singapore

I had 2 treatments at this establishment. One at their River Valley Branch and the other at their Upper Thomson Road branch

The one at River Valley was not too bad but not too fantastic. My impression is that the masseurs were not properly trained. My masseur massaged on my spine which is a no-no instead of at the muscles along my spine. It was uncomfortable and could be harmful. And on the frontal side of my body, after massaging my limbs and abdomen, she massaged the breast area without asking if I wanted it, which I thought was rather rude.

I also went to the branch at Upper Thomson.

Instead of Indonesian masseur, I got a China girl which is fine if she was properly trained. She was not. Her massage was painful. She was obviously not trained. Plus she does not understand simple English which is simple English for spa environment like"less pressure, not so hard".

She was obviously not trained in Javanese massage. When I told her to put less pressure, what she did could be said as just brushing her finger tips on my skin.

Never again going back here.

Serenity Cove, Holland Shopping Centre, Singapore

What about having a massage treatment that is not only pampering, but also makes you feel so at home?
I found that massage at Serenity Cove at Holland Village Shopping Centre, Singapore, the one with the 24 hr Cold Storage on the ground floor.
The therapists are experienced and also caring. Some of them would probably remind you of how your mum would care for you, if only for an hour.

After the one hour massage, there's a list of hot drinks you could request.
There's usually promotion prices on weekdays.
Last when I visited the the spa on the 3rd floor, they have expanded their business...
Worth a try. Body massage starts at $70/70 minutes. Packages available.
